Members of the Council
List of Members
The Council is chaired by the General Manager of Emergency Response (a Business Unit of the Australian Maritime Safety Authority) and has a permanent membership of senior members representing the following Australian SAR Authorities:
- Australian Defence Force
- Australian Federal Police
- Australian Maritime Safety Authority
- New South Wales Police
- Northern Territory Police
- Queensland Police
- South Australian Police
- Tasmanian Police
- Victorian Police
- Western Australia Police
The Australian Communications Authority and New Zealand Police have permanent observer status. Other agencies and SAR operatives may be granted observer status on a needs basis.
