MOU with International Emergency Response Coordination Centre
The increase in use of Personal tracking devices and lessons learnt from incidents initiated by such devices led to the need for clear delineation of how response to such an alert should be communicated to the Rescue Coordination Centre Australia by the GEOS Alliance and the International Emergency Response Coordination Centre.
A Memorandum of Understanding[

Reference to the SPOT beacon has been included in Chapter 2 of the National Search and Rescue Manual and the MOU will be included as Appendix P.
